We invite you to Jazz Up your Social Life and at the same time Help Those in Need
  • Charities Plus Is a social group (not for profit organisation) established in 1985, based in Melbourne, Victoria 
  • Through social functions the club raises funds for eleven charities listed in the constitution 
  • Events are designed to appeal to unattached people in the
    45+ age group and include:
     
    • Casual and formal dinners
    • Movie and Amateur Theatre nights
    • Venues with music/dancing
    • Walks or visits to places of interest
    • Occasional country trips/lunches/wineries, etc
    • Well known and popular Christmas Party in early December
    • Events are mainly held on week nights (with some weekend activities) within a 10 km radius of the CBD, usually east and south-east of the city. 
       
  • Charities Plus is an associated group of Littlewood Charities Club which was originally formed by the late Jean and Ralph Littlewood.
  • Members are mostly from business and professional backgrounds who live in the wider Melbourne area.
  • We are known for our generous spirit and for the friendliness of our members
  • The President and Committee all volunteer their time to the club.
  • Profits from events are distributed annually to well known charities.
  • Membership is $25 per year.  This entitles members to regular newsletters with information about events and discounted entry to most events.
